Do you remember a time when Honda was a serious player in F1? That was 2004, and the team (at that time, still BAR-Honda) finished second in the constructors championship with a walloping 119 points. But the last two years have been an appalling time for the Brackley outfit. This season to date, they have amassed just 14 points, and all of them in the first half of the season. The one ray of hope this year was Rubens Barrichello s third place at a rain-affected Silverstone.

Hinsdale might be the biggest mystery of the'state field. The Red Devils outshot the Lions by 7'strokes at regionals, but the Lions were 20'strokes better than the Devils in'sectionals this week. In any given event, teams can blow hot or cold. The Lion post-season leader has been Danny Stringfellow, who was the medalist at regionals with's 68, and followed that up with a 69 at'sectionals. Close behind, and'still in the low 70s, have been Joey Carlson, Matt Vitale, Brad Klune, and Joe Ferrari.
