Felipe Massa left his first season with four points and 13th in the drivers championship. What he also took away was a reputation for being a 'wild-boy' which has stuck with him ever since. In that year he had five incidents, which included collisions with other drivers, spins and constant examples of over driving. Sure he was quick but many criticised how he over drove the Sauber, in stark contrast to Nick Heidfeld who was not only a much smoother driver but also seemed to get results.

I then had a great start, probably one of the best I've had this year, which was needed. I got into turn one quite clear, took it easy for the first few corners, and then I started to open up a gap.

Just one race before the end of the season team boss Mario Theissen is singing the praises of his BMW outfit for achieving their 2008 objectives. BMW went into this year's campaign aiming to finish third in the Constructors' Championship and secure their maiden F1 race victory - and both goals have already been achieved. Robert Kubica ensured the team their first grand prix victory when the Polish driver took the chequered flag in June's Canadian GP.

GENEVA: FIA and the 10 Formula One teams reached a deal on Tuesday to cap the cost of engines supplied to smaller teams as part of a plan to save money during the global financial crisis. Robert Kubica Kubica, 6th in China, is a 281 chance with Stan James for success in Brazil. Despite putting paid to his drivers title chances, being some 19 points behind leader Hamilton has enjoyed an excellent season. The BMW Sauber driver, with a win in Canada and 6 further podium finishes has only finished out of the points on 3 occasions in seventeen races.
